So Amy and I went to the city for New Year's Eve yesterday and it was really fun, we ended up leaving early but we ate lot of yummy foods and saw the New Year's ball! Very cool!

Get Connected

So I volunteered to work Get Connected only about two weeks ago and somehow I was still able to help. It was a lot of fun helping the new freshman and meeting a LOT of really awesome people. I got people registered, helped people find there way around campus, and ushered a lot of events. The most fun though was helping with i-night, a big campus party/carnival, and then getting to play for free when I wasn't working! So much fun!

Alumni concert

Every year Columbia High School invites the alumni to come to the Christmas concert and sing the Hallelujah Chorus with the Chamber singers. It was super fun going back to my high school and seeing my amazing friends and realizing that nothing has really changed since we last saw each other.

I have never been happy about a flight delay. They are usually things that a person dreads, but yesterday a flight delay brought a nice gift in my life. The gift of being able to visit Georgia! Unfortunately I wasn't able to see Natalie but may and I were able to see each other and it was a lot of fun. We did all of the things we used to do. We (well I as goes tradition) made us brownies, we played speed, we shopped a little, Amy did my hair and Make up, we did a photo shoot, and we got Publix subs! It reminded me so much of when we were younger and still sharing a room. I also got to meet Grayson for the first time and he is adorable! I love my little nephew! It was so much fun to see how much the kids have grown. I loved this trip, even with unexpected problems that came our way!

I wanted a picture with Austin but he didn't cheer up enough to get a picture until about an hour before I left which was too bad! He was fun anyway! :)

Spontaneous Adventures!

David and I were driving in my car, almost to the Salt Lake Airport. Both of us were talking about how we missed Rexburg already and how we wish we had more time to see everyone. We even considered turning around at Pocatello but knew that we shouldn't. Right as we were about to pass the exit to the Airport David gets a phone call, "Your flight to San Diego has been canceled, you new flight will depart tomorrow at 7:30 PM" We look at each other and just start luaghing. We even considered returning to Rexburg but knew that would be pointless. So Instead we decide to have adventures in Salt lake City and in Provo. It turned out to be a great and spontaneous night!

The Burg

Ok, So I have been trying to figure out anouther blog post I could do about my short Rexburg trip for the past day and I've realized that even though I have hundreds of pictures I can't really do another post so here are just random pictures from the trip that I liked (the last one describes my addiction perfectly) and why I am both really excited and slightly sad to be returning to the Burg in less than a month. I'm really excited for my incredible new friends and I'm sad cause more then half of these friends won't be around and two of them I won't see for at least two years. But it was fun none the less! :)

I went to Rexburg last week and I had the best time! While in Rexburg we decided that it would be fun to build an igloo, so we went to the DI and got a lot of boxes and made snow and ice blocks and made an igloo. We never completely finished it because we ran out of time but it is still a really cool igloo, here's some pictures!

Emerson's Dream Day

I babysat Emerson for about two days a little bit ago and I decided I would treat him to an awesome day! So I decided to take him to this cool park I found. He had a lot of fun! This was followed by his favorite food chicken nuggets and fries and of course Jamba Juice, both of our addictions. Then we took pictures and finally I let him play "Flower Game". I think he had a really good day, I hope so anyway!

One year!

So It has officially been on year since I went into surgery last year, which is probably meaningless to most people but pretty significant to me! So I thought that I would open up and tell everyone exactly how I felt and what I learned from this surgery for those who are curious. Now I write a lot and all of this writing occurred after midnight so feel free to skip all of my post from today, in fact I encourage it because I kind of did this more for me than for anyone else and I don't tend to feel comfortable opening up as much as I did in these post. So if you do read them don't judge me cause I put a lot of myself in these, no matter how cheesy and whatever they may seem. So if you want to know then read on! For everyone else I will post something new tomorrow, maybe.

Before and After Pictures

So I decided to mash up pictures of me before and after the surgery. So I don't know if its just becuase I am so used to myself both now and then but I don't feel like I look very different even though i aparently do since I have two friends who didn't know me before recently tell me how unbelievably different I look but aww well. I adore these pictures because it shows not only how I look different and the same but it also shows me that somethings never change because I have found pictures that are scary close to once I have taken before this year. A Crazy Crazy Year

So I don't know why but this feels like it is more like a new years then new years will be this year so I just thought I would reflect upon ALL the things that I have done in the past year becuase I think that is a pretty incredible how much can happen in one short year.

I had a surgery that completely changed my looks and perspective on life.
I moved away from home
I attended my first year of college and rocked it!
I saw my Grandpa get baptized
I had my first kiss
I had my heart broken for the first time and many times after that
I fell in love
I entered into my last year of being a teenager
I learned to be more responsible
I moved two the second new place of the year
I learned how to deal with rejection from jobs
I discovered what a real singles ward is like.
I found out who my real friends are.

I'm sure there is more but I thought that most of that list is pretty dang significant and that it is crazy that that much has happened in just this year! Makes me wonder what next year will bring, or even the next two months of this year!

Trials and Challenges during the surgery

Surgery is probably the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, now understandably I haven't had to do a lot of hard things in my life seeing as I am only 19 and have been very privileged. But I think that this would have been hard for anyone. The thing about it is that it was not painful in the least bit. I remember the first day of surgery I was weak but not in pain at all. In fact I was making jokes and happy the day of the surgery, even though nobody understood me. Day two is when I really discovered what was hard about surgery. This is when I first started missing food, hating medicine, and hating not being able to talk. For the first week this is all I cared about. Eating through a syringe is probably the worst food related experience a person can have and that being the only way of getting food in you for weeks at a time is even worst. That same syringe is what I used to take my anti-bacterial medicine every 10 hours. This was the worst tasting thing I have ever had in my life, it was literally painful going down my throat. It felt like I was taking poison, which oddly enough on my last day of taking it I discovered that I was in fact allergic to this medicine and is was poison to me. Not being able to talk was also very discouraging since I would often want to make a joke out of my surgery to lighten the mood around my house and think of the surgery in a more positive light, but when no one could understand me it made it so I couldn't get myself to believe it either. Thankfully as time went by all of these issues became easier. About the fourth day after surgery I had a chick flick marathon with my sister and Mom and I feel like that brought my spirits up and around that same time I was able to be understood and that also made life a lot better. Soon I was able to force myself to go to the mall or to see a movie with the family. These all brought my spirits up again and I felt great again despite not being able to eat!

Unfortunately this was not the end of my challenges. Once I was able to eat without a siringe is when my next challenge came to surface. This was a wonderful wondeful day for my stomach! The second I was given permission to eat I went and got a McDonald's Hamburger and it was heaven! For the next week I rediscovered my love of food and everything tasted amazing, even things that used to taste horrible tasted awesome because I could eat them! But this is also the point where I started to look normal again. I know what you are thinking, "Olivia isn't that a good thing?". Well it is but not when looking normal is different then what you are used to. I looked in the mirror and I saw a girl who wasn't me. She has this huge chin, a big nose, and she couldn't smile the same way she used to. And that is when I started to feel pain from this surgery. My favorite thing about myself physically was my big smile that never seemed to leave my face. Someone once called it a permi-smile. I loved this about myself. But I looked at myself in the mirror and for an hour I tried to smile and I couldn't see any teeth and it was ugly and I ws very unhappy. I thought that this is how I was going to look for the rest of my life. I know that some people told me that I was still swollen and that it wasn't permanent but I looked in the mirror and I saw who I was becomeing and I was not happy. This is what I struggled with the most and for the longest period of time. Thankfully I realized about a month later that i would be able to smile again and It would still be big and beautiful but for that time this was scaring.

The final major challenge during surgery was seeing people who knew me before and having to face them. Now don't get me wrong, most people were very nice and pretended that the change in my looks didn't matter. But I hated it! I hated the looks in peoples eyes of shock and sadness or sympathy in some. I hated it when people didn't recognize me at all, I hated this feeling in my stomach whenever I saw someone else who I hadn't seen since the surgery. It was simply dreadful. This trial simply went away from time and from accepting how I looked myself. So yeah those were the main trials during the surgery. Yay?

What Surgery Has Taught Me

So in the past year I have learned a lot about myself and who I am. Now I would like to say that I have always had a pretty good grasp on who I am and I have always been able to keep a positive attitude through trials. Even through a big experience like moving from Georgia, I was the only one who was somehow able to stay positive for the first little bit. So what is surprising to me is that what I ultamentaly learned from this experience is something I already thought I knew. But apparently not since I learned it for real this time.

So first thing I learned from surgery is to keep a positive attitude no matter how bad life seems. Now this is a lesson that I think that I will still have to learn again because as this year progressed I learned this lesson again and again for different reasons, so I really should just remember it now as to be happier my next trial. But during this experience I didn't have the best attitude in the beginning, or middle for that matter. I was actually pretty negative even though I tried to hide the fact that I was negative from the people around me. This is what ultamentely led to my downfall. This is what made me believe that life was never going to be great again and that I was never going to be able to smile again or whatever other irrational thoughts I was having. If I just kept my perspective and remembered to have a positive attitude my life would have been a lot easier and a lot happier. Not to mention when I was finally able to force myself to be positive my healing process began to speed up and I felt stronger and healed faster. Its amazing how a little perspective helps a person not only emotionally but physically. And now looking at myself I realize again that life is never as bad as it seems and so I should always stay positive and to "Come what may and love it".

The second thing I have re-learned is that looks do not define me, or to quote someone who went through much more and much worst then me, I am Olivia Bush and I am not my body. (ps, of you want to see something great go watch this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHDvxPjsm8E, it is truly amazing how this woman has lived her life despite trials that are terrible and she has not had the happy result that I have) But when I first had the surgery I told myself over and over again that my looks didn't matter, but I don't think that I completely believed myself. That is why when people looked shocked when seeing me, I cringed and hated it. So when I found myself looking normal again I felt good again but not even that completely cured the way I felt. I felt like I lost myself when my looks changed. So even when I passed that awkward swollen stage and started to look (I hate to say this but it is true) even more beautiful then I looked before, I still didn't feel right. In fact I think the fact that I look even more pretty then before made me feel even worst because I had this sense of having something similar to plastic surgery, where I purposefully changed myself to look better. But as time has gone by I realize that this isn't the case. I have come to realize that without a doubt I will always be myself, whether I am gorgeous or ugly or somewhere in between, and that is what makes me truly beautiful. I will always be Olivia Bush, the girl who is friends with everyone, especially outcasts, the girl who is way to confident for her own good, the girl who is sarcastic in every way, the girl who can't think of anything really defining about herself even though there is a thousand more things she probably could write. This is what really makes me attractive to people and is what makes me who I am, the good looks are just a bonus ;).

The next thing I have learned is that time not only heals scares but it turns them into good memories. Even though this doesn't sound like I am looking back at a fond memory, really when I think back to those last two months in NY, I really think that they were great times! It was fun shocking my dad by being over confident even when I couldn't talk and it was the opposite of true. It was a lot of fun having chick flick marothons, and watching Firefly, Doll House, Angel, Stargate, NCIS, and whatever shows I watched with Emily and Lyle. It was fun being served and not feeling bad when skipping church. For the most part when i think back at the surgery it was a good time! Sure it didn't feel like it when it was happening but now I look back and smile. So in conclusion, time is our friend.

Forth I learned that eating from a syringe in gross, 'nough said.

Fifth, I have learned that showing people pictures of yourself who never knew you before jaw surgery is a lot of fun. Doing the reverse was horrible but seeing other peoples reaction is pretty hilarious. This might have something to do with time healing and positive attitude though.

Sixth, And finally because if you know me at all you would know that a six part list is perfect for me :). But anyway, Sixth, if you must have a life changing experience that teaches you some life lessons, you should do it before college because it makes a great paper for any class that asks you to write a personal paper. I swear I have told every teacher I have ever had this experience at some point and it has become the easiest paper in the world! So yeah, advantage!

My testimony

So this is pretty cheesy but I thought I would share my testimony on here because having this surgery has also increased my faith in God. So I would like to say that more then anything I have learned from this challenge and blessing in my life is that Heavenly Father is always there for me no matter what and that the first thing that defines me is that I am a daughter of God. Over anything else that I have learned this a one thing I know without a doubt. I would also like to share a scripture that has helped me through some of the biggest trials I have had this year, surgery related and non-surgery related. So one night I was really struggling with whatever and it was just hard day and so I said a prayer and the tried opening my scriptures and reading. This is something I have tried before but has never been effective but this night I found a scripture that really helped me that night. It is Alma 36:3 and it says "And now, O my son Helaman, behold, thou art in thy youth, and therefore, I beseech of thee that thou wilt hear my words and learn of me; for I do know that whosoever shall put their ^atrust in God shall be supported in their ^btrials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be ^clifted up at the last day." This really comforted me, knowing that I just needed to trust in God and that he would be there for me and support me through whatever I was going through. This scripture has since shown up a multitude of times whenever I need a reminder that Heavenly Father is here for me and he will support me. So I know that this is true, and that I am a daughter of God, and that I am loved by Him. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Living in Oregon has been a lot of fun! I have really love living with my sister, meeting new people, and learning more about myself here. But my favorite thing about Oregon is my wonderful nephew, who is so adorable even in his most annoying hours! He always makes me feel loved, even when yelling "NO LIBA" every time I walk into a room. It is always fun when I turn on my computer becuase I know I will hear one of two things as Emerson climbs up to sit next to me. I will either hear, "Play flower game!" or "Picture Liba!". So natalie asked and she shall recieve! Though I think I have spioled you guys with how often I updated this blog, now that I have no social life again I don't know how often it will be updated :). Anyway, so Emerson absolutly loves blankets! So one day I thought it would be fun to make him a blanket fort. He absolutly loved it! Then next morning in fact he came in a woke me up saying "liba, house, liba, house", asking me to make him another! So cute!

Spring Semester's last word

So David and Rachel are both theater majors and so I would often get to see then practice for classes, auditions, or see them just sing to me for fun. It was always a lot of fun having free concerts or singing through shows like "Wicked" or "Miss Saigon" with them!

So the lady on the left of this picture was our tour guide at the conference center when we went to Utah. We thought she looked a lot like Esma from "Emperors New Groove", I just thought I would point her out!

I just really liked this picture of me and Rachel! She was such a great roommate throughout the semester and I'm going to miss hr during my off track!
So this is one of my really good friends throughout the semester and the thing about him is that he is extremely tall. So this day he walked around for about five minutes to be shorter than me just to make me feel good about myself, I loved it!If you havn't figured it out from my other blog post, I'm a bit obsessed with Jamba's so here I am with my friend Megan getting one!
One day me and my friends went to the sand dunes and it had just rained the day before so we could actually make something out of the sand, so we made Squidwards house, it was a lot of fun!
This is one of my favorite teachers, Boss, whom I loved very much! I wish all my teachers could be like Boss!
So Dying Davids terrible hair was on our list if things to do and so here's a picture from that!
One day my roommate Cyndil and me were having one of those days where we were irritated by one of our roommates, and a little at guys too. So we went for a walk and while on that walk we decided to start a compliment wall where we would write nice things obout all of our roommates and hope that it would bring a more possitive atmosphere into the apartment, here's a picture of the wall.
One day we went to the grocery store and there was a giant cart outside. It had a sign that said DO NOT TOUCH, so ofcource I had to to touch it!
Last Valentines we bought a pinata to break on Valentines Day of Optimus Prime. However, when the time came to break it we were attached to it. Over the last two semesters it has becomes our rooms Mascot that we vowed only to break if a guy hurt us enough to want to break things, happily he is still alive and well!

Sad goodbyes

This is the last picture I had taken of me and some of my friends at BYU-I just before saying goodbye, It was so incredibly hard saying goodbye to all my friends at BYU-I! I became extremely close to all of them and depended on seeing these friends everyday that saying goodbye was very hard, especially since many of my friends, guys and girls, are going on there missions or graduating. I'm really going to miss them!

My room! I adored my room this semester, last semester I got really bored with my room becuase it was basically just white walls and a harry potter poster. This semester I refused to let my room become like that again so I started the semester by puting pictures on the back wall and printing out some inside jokes and quotes and scriptures. As the semester progressed my wall got covered with more fun stuff that was all meaningful to me, such as tickets to plays that were really good, sleep talking quotes, the rose that was given to me for my Birthday, the program from Comedy Improve, free posters from places I went, signs given to me, and the infamous love plate. It always made me really happy to look at my room and it was really sad bringing it down.

Potato Museum

The last thing on the my to do list was to go to the Potato Museum in Idaho so while we drove home we stopped by the museum, we didn't actually go in but it was really fun seeing the giant potato and everything else fun about the Potato museum, we also completed our list which was great! I never finish list, especially since this one was so useless and spontaneous, but I'm still really proud that I finished it! Here's pictures.

Monkey Rock and Jamba

So monkey rock and Jamba were on our list of awesomeness! We had so much fun going to both! We went to Monkey Rock first. It is this rock that some crazy "monkeys" jump off of. We didn't jump off the rock but we did go into the water even though it was about 10 pm. That is when we finally found it. It was so much fun! Then we drove to Jamba and got there five minutes before it closed. The people at Jamba knew that we were coming because we go there so much and they didn't even ask my name when I went up to order, can you say addiction?

So we put have a mission call party and break a pinata on the list of things to do before we had to leave Rexburg. The problem was, David's mission call got lost somewhere in Philadelphia! So we had the party anyway. It ended up being really fun! We sang musicals and played a couple games and just relaxed in the park. The pinata was a lot of fun even though I felt like my life was threatened for a little bit there and David decided to keep his Disney princess pinata to put his letters in on the mission, which made me smile!

SUSHI???????

So about two weeks ago my friend David and I were in the Sand dunes and he said, Olivia, we are starting a to do list, first make fried ice cream. I want to make it for you. By the end of that night we had a pretty long list of things to do together before the semester ended and only two weeks to complete it. This list included seeing the Joseph Smith movie in IF, singing through the wicked soundtrack, Going to monkey rock, going to the potato museum, getting sushi, having a mission call party, breaking a pinata, going to Jamba as much as possible, dieing Davids horrid hair, and more. I'm going to be honest, I really thought that we weren't going to do anything on that list done. However, David and I somehow got through most of the list and so yesterday David somehow convinced me to get sushi, "because its on the list". Now I have always said that I hate sea food in general so I knew right away that I was going to hate it...however, there I was sitting in Pineapple Grill, sushi ordered. David ordered the least risky thing on the menu for me and when I finally took a bite and I didn't not like it, but I didn't like it. It really irritated me because I had zero opinion on it! Then I tried David's spider roll and it actually kind of tasted okay. Then I tried this super risky and fishy sushi and I really liked it. I am so confused but apparently I sorta like sushi. Weird...

So I was chilling with my friends on what was the perfect day weather wise when I looked at the sky and it was yellow. I was so confused! I looked at the sun and it was BRIGHT red. It was one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen! Later that evening I learned that the beautiful sky was caused by a fire nearby. It kind of made me realize how from terrible events, good things can come to pass, even if it is as small as a beautiful sight for everyone to see!

Fourth of July Weekend!

This fourth of July was extra fun! I had a lot of cool experiences and got to hang out with a lot of amazing people. On the third of July I started out the day hanging out with Jessica and Emerson. I had so much fun with them and got some really good free food! Then me and some friends went to the sand dunes to set off fireworks. There we relaxed in the sand, had a jumping off the dunes competition, buried each other, had a bon fire and just had a great time. True to form I lost my keys which just led to more fun adventures! The next day I started out hanging out with Jess and we played a game I hadn't played in a very long time. After that I went to church where we combined wards. Here we had a great testimony meeting where someone compared dating to being a rat in a maze and having the cheese electrocute him, ending it with it not having to do with the cheese but rather about the journey. Yes. Then we went to a Park called Beaver Dick and had a Bon Fire and roasted Smores. It was very fun! The next day I drove down with some new friends to Utah. They wanted to go to In N Out since they were all from California and wanted a little piece of home. Then we went to temple square where I have been a million times and had one of the most spiritual experiences I have had in a really long time! I didn't expect it but it was cool. If anyone has a chance to take a tour of the conference center, do it! Its amazing! I ended the weekend by having dinner with my friends Rachel, David, and Stephen. It was ultamently a great weekend!

Epic Water Fight

So Some random guy came up with a wonderful idea to have a huge epic water fight that puts the east of campus vs. the west of campus. It began with a huge epic war charge where we yelled freedom. It went on for hours and it was so much fun! I love fun events, even if the East side was very outnumbered!

Last semester during Finals week, I went to my last FHE in the park to play capture the flag. Before it began, I started swinging and discovered that all of the stress from finials went away. Since then I have gone swinging every time that I got stressed, sad, lonely, and every now and then, when I'm happy and just want to swing. It always makes me feel better to go swinging and to feel like a kid again. I don't have to worry about any of my problems for that little bit of time, I love it!

So last Tuesday I went to all my classes and when I was finially coming home from my classes my roomates wouldn't let me back into the apartment. Finally they gave in and let me in but they blindfolded me the second I came into the door, adding sunglasses for the fun of it...

Then they put me in my roommates car and drove me to Craigo's! A really good Pizza buffet in Rexburg. They surprised me with a free meal for my Birthday! It was really fun and I loved my roommates for thinking of me when I didn't think they were going to do anything for me!

So one of my favorite scenes from any movie is the scene in Sydney White where Tyler Prince asks Sydney out by singing a song called "When I See You Smile". If you haven't seen this then watch this video...

Anyway, my friend Rachel knew this was my favorite seen and for my birthday she wanted to recreate that scene for me. So three of my friends decided to sing that song to me and give me a rose, they came in singing at exactly 6:06 PM which is when I was born. It was very sweet and I really appreciated how much effort they put into my present! Afterward he actually watched Sydney White and it was fun forcing my two guy friends to watch a chick flick. Fun stuff! Here's some pictures, they are taken with my friends camera and I wasn't looking at what I was doing when I took the pictures so they aren't the best, but hey, they work!

Oh and my friends name is Stephen Kruse, and a while ago we realized it's said the same way as the crucio curse. SO Rachel had me use my new wand to cast the "Krucio" curse on him. lol!

Birthday Part 1

I was really scared about my Birthday this year. I didn't think it was going to be that great because for the first time I wasn't at home and doing all of the traditions that I usually do. Not to mention it was a fast Sunday so I couldn't really go anywhere or do much. But it turned out being really great! Before I even woke up in the morning, I got lots and lots of messages wishing me a happy birthday, making me realize how loved I really am. I went into the family room where my roommate automatically wished me a happy birthday and we had a long conversation. Then I got to talk to Mom and we opened presence from the package that has been in my room for the past two weeks. I got a lot of great gifts! These included matalic Pink Converse and a wand that was created just for me. Not to mention Jamba! I loved talking to my parents and it felt like I was home. I went to church and it was a really great Sunday! My relief society councilor found out it was my birthday and had everyone sing Happy Birthday. Then my friend Steven Clark came up to me and told me that I needed a spiny hug since it was my Birthday, so he literately picked me up and spun me. Then I got to talk to all of my nieces and nephews and they told me how much they loved me. It was super cute! I love my family so much! Then as the day progressed I had some buffalo wings and come IBC cream soda, a tradition for my Birthday. At exactly 6:06 PM, my friends surprised me with a rose and gave me a really cool gift that I'm going to talk about tomorrow. Then we all watched a movie and hung out. Later my cousin Alison showed up with cookies and gave me a big hug. So I ended up having a great Birthday and I realized how loved I am and how though I'm not at home, I can still have a great birthday!

Memorial Day Weekend!

This memorial day weekend, me a come of my friends decided to go to Montana and see "Beauty and the Beast" at the Playmill. The Playmill is a theater owned by one of my professors in West Yellowstone and they put on some really good productions. "Beauty and the Beast" was super good and it brought back a lot of memories from when I was in it, except they pulled it off a lot better then my high school did! We also got to explore west Yellowstone which was really pretty! It was so much fun going into all of the interesting stores around West Yellowstone and exploring. Afterward, my friend Rachel, begged us to go about another hour and visit her Boy Friend. At some point the Light sabers I gave her for her 20th Birthday came out and two of my friends had an epic fight. It was quite entertaining and proves, once again, that I am a huge nerd!

One of my best friends out here is in a stage makeup class. He had to practice makeup to make people look old. So he forced me to the snow and he made me into an old lady as we watched Glee. I must say, it really helps you self confidence when someone is complaining about the fact that you have NO wrinkles as much as he tries to force my face to wrinkle up and the fact that I have no bags under my eyes. Its also quite funny when this is a complaint, not a compliment. I must say, I'm going to be a cute old person.

Comedy Improve

This semester a comedy improve group called the society came to BYU-I. It included a lot of really funny Mormon actors. It was really good! They played games, improved a musical called "The Attic", and were just plain hilarious! I especially liked "My name is Corbin, I like to rhyme, if you don't believe me, I'll show you!"Afterwards I got to meet all of them and got their autographs, it was cool meeting some really nice Mormon celebrities!

SAA retreat

This Semester I made a good friend in my Math for the Real World class and my Psychology class who is super involved! She wanted to join an association and so we joined the SAA (Student Alumni Association) together. It is a really cool group that makes connections with Alumni of BYU-I and uses it to help students find connections in the future and become better alumni themselves. They also are in charge of the Student Legacy Endowment (SLE) which is the fund that the school has to help students who find themselves in emergency situations and can no longer afford rent, tuition, food, or anything else needed to survive and still continue going to BYU-I. It is a really great group and it feels great to participate in such a service orientated association. One day this association might even help me. Early in the Semester I went to a leadership retreat with the SAA. It was super fun! I made great friends and learned more about the importance of service and how to be a better leader, not to mention I was edified by being around such great people and my testimony of the gospel grew stronger. Semester Break!

During the break between semesters I got to go back to NY and visit my home. It was kind of sad at first because I went to the dentist twice, went to the orthodontist five times, and the eye doctor twice, so lots and lots of appointments! But I got my braces off for the final time and the orthodontist gave me a mug full of chewy candy that I couldn't eat with my braces and look at me, I look great with all my new stuff!

Then I went to church and saw people who were all VERY excited to see me. Mom also got released from her calling as Relief Society president during this time and so here as a picture of her presidency, I have some more serious ones but this one shows everyone's personality's and their relationship so well that I wanted to post this one!
I also had lots of time to hang out with my friends! I hung out with Alan and had a Starbucks date with him and went out to dinner with Ginger and Vita. It was a ton of fun. I especially had fun going to NY! I spent the first day there hanging out with my friend Lora. We spent a lot of time going around times Square and hung out at Toys R Us and road the Ferris wheel in it it was a lot of fun!
The next day in NYC, we went to central Park and explored and then went to met, which was really really cool! Then we saw Billy Eliot which actually stared my friends little brother, so that was pretty cool to see how much talent can come from East Greenbush! It was really good!

So basically my spring break was really awesome!

So I have two recommendations for everyone! Especially for my sisters! First I think that everyone should see Alice. It is a Syfy mini series that you can now rent in Red box or wherever else you get movies (newzbin has it). I know "SciFi mini series" isn't the best introduction for most of yall, but I think all of you guys will like it. It is a modern day telling of Alice in Wonderland and is just a really cool story! Everyone needs to see it!

Next is the book "Hunger Games", you can read or listen to it but everyone needs to! It is not my usual book but it is probably my favorite right now. Everyone who has read it loves it! So you all need to too!Thats all for now!

Easter

I had a lot of fun this Easter. I got an amazing package from my parents, Emily, and the Easter bunny. It had hand rules in it! It got me so excited. Then on Easter morning the Easter bunny returned with baskets for all of us. I even had the chance to go on an Easter egg hunt and decorate boiled eggs.

The White Ninja

So just to show you all how fun my apartment is I'm going to tell you about something fun that happened last week. So our home teacher invited us to see a movie with him but we all had some kind of homework that we had to work on so we didn't go. But we didn't tell him that we couldn't go, instead we decided to write it in a poem on a plate, because we have a weird inside joke with plates. This poem expressed our undying love for him and how upset we were we could not go. We then stuck to his apartment and taped it on him door. So we were trying to be discrete so all of my roommates wore black, but me not being that smart wore white. I also fell so I was a little behind them. So they yelled out "Hurry up white ninja!" And from that we began to give each other ninja names that included Samarii Soural, Nicolli, and JoWAWWWna. Then we decided to take picture which led to an epic battle between the ninja's. Here they are...

So basically, we learn from this that you should make fun of a person for not being discrete cause she might just kill you. lol, sufficeth to say we could have watched the movie because by time we finished this the movie was over and none of us had done our homework. So yeah, college is going really well and I feel super productive, how are yall doing?

So I don't think that I'm that great of a writer. Despite this, I am in a writing class and we recently had to write profiles, which are basically newspaper articles of a specific person. We started by writing a practice profile and I seriously thought mine was awful. Then, yesterday we got our papers back and she wants to use mine as an example! I couldn't believe it!

Also, I don't know if anyone knows what this means but I recently had to buy my roommates some M&Ms...

Oh, and I found my camera connector cord so I might (but probably won't) update this more!

(semi) Recently I went to Wisconsin and Minnesota. It was a lot of fun! I experienced the "Wisconsin Experience" by trying custard which was really good! We also saw a lot of cows and I got to get to know my cousins who are extremely cute! Mom and me than drove to Minnesota where we went to a small town called La Crescent. It was extremely pretty and just a fun, relaxing trip! So now that I have been to those states I have been to all of the continental states!!! I'm so proud, now Alaska and Hawaii, here I come (eventually)!

Relief Society

The other Sunday I was officially kicked out of Young Women. It was really sad but the relief society was prepared! They planned food and and a short lesson and the rest of the time was a social time! They also gave us all this a little jar of advise fun everyone in relief society which included stuff like "were not all that old" and "your never alone". It was really cute!

Oregon

This summer I went to Oregon with my parents. It was so great seeing my nephew Emerson! Oh and seeing my sister Jessica and my brother in law Jason. It was so much fun! We went to the Oregon coast and we stayed at this condo where you could see whales in our backyard. When we were at Jess's house we went to the zoo and just hung around the house. We also did my absolute favorite thing in the world and went to a bookstore which is called Powlles books. It is the best bookstore ever! I wish I could go there everyday!

On the last day of high school it was pretty much a normal day but I did two main things. First, Columbia makes these really awsome cookies and I decided to buy 10 of them and eat them! The day after Prom it was my 18th Birthday!! It was great! We celebrated my birthday in the morning and mom and dad both made me fun breakfasts! So I got my wisdom teeth out last week and missed about a week of school dealing with the pain and looking like a blow fish. I took a picture but I'm too lazy to put it on the blog and its not too flattering anyway. I pretty much ate yogurt and other soft foods while watching shows on my xbox like Sports Night, New Amsterdam, and Doctor Who. Its been painfully fun! Everyday Routine

So latley I have gotten into a pretty regular routine. I start out everyday by going to Seminary (If my alarm clock actually wakes me up) and then going home and getting ready for school. Next I endure a day of school and then go to Play practice where I am part of " Beauty and the Beast" as castle ensemble, villager, a mother, and lady with cane. Around 5:30 I get out of play practice where I go strait to work. Here I can get a little homework done when I am waiting for these things called accu cells to finish being tested. Between 7:30-8:30 I finally get home where I finish any homework I didn't do during work, watch some TV and go to bed. here are some pictures!

Here are some pictures that I took when me and my friends were board during play practice, we have so much fun!

These are Accu cells, I work with them everyday when I'm not closing purchasing orders of filing papers. To test them I take a random sample of 10 out of them and fill it with IPA (yellow bottle below) I then put the sample into a machine called the GEN 3 which test the accu cell for five minutes in which I can read, listen to music, and do homework.

Nat and Ems came to visit a little bit ago and we decided to go to New York. It was a lot of fun. We decided to go to fabric stores and look at all of the fun fabrics. Then we went and saw a play. Em and me saw Young Frankenstein and Mom and Nat saw Phantom. Then we went and got burgers and just relaxed. It was the most relaxing trip to the city I have been to yet!

Right before Rachel left we went to the city. It was amazingly fun! We saw Marry Poppins, went and did almost every touristy thing possible and I even went to the library, which i have never done before. before we left at the very end we also went to the place called Ellen's Stardust Cafe where the Waiters sung to you It was really cool. Sadly, the next day, Rachel had to go home. It was a really fun week and a half though! Here's a few pictures!

During the weekend of Breaking Dawn, was Youth Conference! It was really good!We had some fun classes, I enjoyed the service project. And the best dance happened to a morning dance! Here's a few pictures...

Hey yall!!!! Sorry its been so long since I've blogged. I've been having the opposite problem than normal and have been way too busy to post all the Amazing things I have been doing over this summer!!! I have just posted about EFY, GA, and Camp so I expect comments. I will post about the Ranch and Utah soon!!!! Not to mention all of the other fun things I am sure will come this year! Never A Better Hero ♥ Camp 2008

This years camp was called Never a Better Hero. It was Stupendous! I was a YCL over the 2nd years and they chose Storm from X-man as their hero. They did Amazing at decorating the cabin!!!! Along with doing great decorating, my girls were amazing at being nice to each other and following directions. I loved having them so much!!!! They were the sweetest and made Camp amazing fro me!!! Driven With The Wind! What?! EFY 2008

After GA, I went to EFY!!!!!! My company name was "driven with the wind". Just to speak of small world stories, a few cool things happened with arrangements. First, Tim Barron was my guy councilor. My girl councilor, Bekka, I meant at the Disney store the weekend before, she was hanging out with the Lelles, and she said, "hey, mabee you will be in my group." and we were! And the last weird thing is that my session director, Brother Linford, was a teacher in the Mass. EFY last year! It was really weird!!!! Well this years EFY was amazing! I meant a lot of new friends and hung out with my old. The classes were phenomenal and everything was so much fun! We won second in the games and me and Rachel got into the Variety Show singing "In His Eyes" from Jekyll and Hyde. It was so incredible, here's the pics.

So I started the summer out with an AMAZING trip to GA! I went back to Lilburn ward, had all of my favorite foods (except O'Charley's), and went to my favorite places. I watched movies with Rachel, cooked with Amy, and did all the traditional fun. On Wednesday, I had my fast food party at Wendy's where we had sooooo much fun! On Thursday, Amy, Courtney and I went to stone mountain. Afterward I went swimming at Courtney's. On Friday I went to the mall and then a=on Saturday, Molly planned me a sleepover with all my friends so I had one last time to see them all. I had such an amazing time!!! Here's the pictures!

So this weekend and about two weeks ago Mom and I went to the city! This first time went with Kameron and saw Chorus Line and went to a really cool toy store! The second time it was just Mom and me and we saw Phanton which was AMAZING and we got really good shakes, went to a huge book store and went to china Town and Little Italy!

So this weekend Mom and I went to Maine! We saw this really cute little town and saw a 6 minute parade, saw the ocean, and saw President Bush's house. I was a ton of fun and It got me my 46th state! Only four more to go!!!
